ThinManage 2.2 Manages Thin Clients for Lowest TCO
ThinManage 2.2 thin client management software from Devon IT provides centralized control of enterprise-wide thin client deployments. By simplifying IT management of terminals, ThinManage further increases return on investment from Server-Based Computing.
Centralized Control: Shutdown/reboot terminals (Wake On LAN). Add, delete, or change software and configuration without visiting desktop or device.

Shadowing: Use the new Shadowing feature available in ThinManage to assist your users with his/her thin client.

Thin Client Requirements:
- Devon IT's Thin Client Terminals running DeTOS version 4.0.3c or higher.
- Remote shutdown and reboot features require Wake On LAN-capable terminals.
How do I get ThinManage 2.2?
ThinManage is available free to all our customers using DeTOS-based thin clients. Please download our ThinManage 2.2 Administration Manual (pdf) for instructions on where to obtain the virtual package software, installation steps, and administration information.
ThinManage 2.3 BETA is Now Available
On July 11, 2008, Devon IT completed development and internal testing for ThinManage 2.3 and is now offering this release as a Beta product. If you are interested in participating in the ThinManage 2.3 Beta testing program, please fill out the ThinManage 2.3 Beta Request Form
Improvements and changes you can expect in this beta release include:
- Improved response times when executing terminal discoveries, queries, and shadow requests.
- DHCP is the default network setting for the ThinManage server.
- New Platform: ThinManage is now using Ubuntu as its base operating system and Xfce for its desktop environment.
- The amount of time it takes for booting up the virtual image has been drastically reduced.
- A "Log" section is now available in the ThinManage console that captures and displays Messages, Events, and Errors.
- Saving multiple cloned images is now possible.
- New "Package Updater" feature: A background process checks Devon IT's FTP server daily for new DeTOS images and will notify you when a new one is available. Simply choose which images you wish to obtain and ThinManage will perform the FTP download and package extraction for you.
- Adjust font sizes and other interface settings by using the new QT Config Utility.
