“Our goal with Thin Client TV is to educate IT personnel and end users on the differences between thin clients and PCs and how alternative computing methods can be less costly, more secure, easier to manage, and better for the environment than traditional desktop,” says Joe Makoid, President of Devon IT.  “In working with CTOs IT and administrators from various sized entities, it is clear that PCs have grown to be too difficult to manage and too expensive, and that alternative desktop computing with thin clients, remote access and virtualization software, and greener servers are becoming more popular. Stephane Verdy, CTO for Devon IT, discusses the basic functionality of thin clients, shows the differences between thin clients and PCs, outlines the cost, energy, security, and manageability benefits of thin clients, and gives examples of which industries are using thin clients today.
