Devon IT Thin Clients Now Trade Agreements Act (TAA) Compliant

Devon IT, Inc., a leading provider of thin client and VDI hardware and software solutions, today announced that its thin clients have received Trade Agreements Act (TAA) compliance, making the company’s entire hardware and software line available to federal government agencies. The TAA compliance covers Devon IT’s TC2 and TC5 thin client series.

“Devon IT works with various state and local government entities, and we are proud to be easing some of their IT-related headaches. Our feedback from this customer base is anchored in manageability and cost-savings, as longer-lasting thin clients and flexible virtual desktop environments can help fewer IT administrators accomplish more without sacrificing user experience. We are excited to bring these benefits into the federal IT market and help address challenges at this level of government as well.”

– Joe Makoid, President, Devon IT

Devon IT thin clients, including the newly designated TAA models, are fully manageable by Devon IT Echo™ thin client management software. IT administrators us Devon IT Echo™ to manage their entire infrastructure of Windows-based thin clients, Devon Terminal Operating System (DeTOS)-based thin clients, and PCs repurposed by Devon IT’s VDI Blaster™ software. Devon IT Echo™ automates the distribution of settings and connections to thin clients, enabling system and desktop administrators to create or copy new arrangements of settings, connections, and disk images to tailor the IT environment to their needs.

Devon IT Echo™ is also available from Dell as Devon IT Echo™ Thin Client Management Console Dell Edition, which manages Dell’s line of thin clients that includes the OptiPlex FX130 and OptiPlex FX170.
