Devon IT Offers HIPAA-Ready SafeBook, The First Fully Compliant Thin Client Notebook For Healthcare
SafeBook provides a HIPAA-compliant thin client terminal combined with the portability and convenience of a notebook computer.
King of Prussia, PA, November 2, 2006 - Devon IT today announced the availability of SafeBook™, the thin client notebook that enables secure, mobile computing, for healthcare professionals as a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliant unit.

Devon IT's SafeBook, starting at $799, is a mobile thin client notebook that does not have a hard drive, so no data or applications are stored on the mobile thin client. Applications are installed directly on the organization's servers which authorize users' remote access through Citrix ICA or Microsoft RDP protocols. SafeBook has all the features businesses and healthcare facilities have come to expect from a thin client terminal, such as a low purchase price and total cost of ownership savings, and also provides users with the familiar experience of a notebook PC.
